“x” stands for the unknown, so the art may be un-real, or super-real, or sur-real, or just x-real. XrE*al is defined as a form of a mixed reality environment. If reality itself is the world or the state of things as they actually exist then is XrE*al an abstraction of reality? In XrE*al, we challenge the viewer to expand their notion of what is real and invite them to explore the magical, the abstract and the fantastical. XrE*al is a themed all media art exhibition in conjunction with the Old CourtHouse Arts Center (OCHAC) on the historic Woodstock Square in Illinois. Exhibition Dates: |
