ARTIST STATEMENT:
I can not help but be influenced by my technical training as an animator and filmmaker. I’m interested in this relationship not only between the audience and my subjects but between the gestural lines of paint and the brush strokes of color. This movement brings a unique look at an emotional interpretation of that moment in time.
BIO:
Mary Beth received a BFA from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago with concentrations in film and animation. She continued her study at the International School of Animation at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, where she received a diploma in Classical Animation. She continues to improve her skills as an artist while studying painting with Alice White. Mary Beth exhibits her work in both group and solo shows.
